Network Downtime
Back on Jan 9th of 2022, Arbitrum’s Sequencer had some downtime resulting in people being unable to use their network for about 7 hours. As part of their post-mortem, Arbitrum released an article detailing what happened via their Off Chain labs Medium page. At the bottom of the article [1], Off Chain labs states that its ultimate goal is full decentralization. To decentralize, you need a token.
The Arbitrum Odyssey
Off Chain labs announced an upcoming NFT collaboration (minting free – you just pay gas) with famous artists Ratwell and Suogi [2]. Starting middle of May, you will have to interact with 2 projects per week, for a total of 7 weeks. Each project will have a task you must complete in order to claim an NFT. Finally, if you collect at least 12 of 15 NFTs then you qualify to receive a final NFT indicating the completion of the journey.
Seems like an excellent opportunity to collect some free NFTs and potentially qualify for an Airdrop. Keep your eyes out!
If you don’t want to wait to use Arbitrum, here are the projects that could possibly be in the Arbitrum Odyssey:
